Why not ask your question on the new OpenStreetMap Community Forum?

I have added a single node on a map, it's over a building, and tagged it as amenity=arts_centre. I used the latest JOSM. The node is not showing on the map... here is the link:

http://www.openstreetmap.org/#map=18/43.83243/13.04435

A similar node over the nearby building is correctly shown (the node for the postal office), whereas the arts_centre isn't. What did I make wrong? Thanks! -Fabrizio

Enter "map style" in the search box above and read some of the responses. Especially, read the answer to "I have made edits but they don't show up on the map". The short answer is that not everything is shown on the default map and that's normal!
