How do you tag those bridge carrying the sensor of free flow electronic toll collection systems used for charging or controlling of the toll payed on motorways (like the truck toll in Germany or the toll on expressways in Santiago, Chile) or for the congestion or eco toll in cities (like in London or in Milan)?

See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electronic_toll_collection

and an example of such sensor bridges: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:163rd_Street_Open_Road_Tolling_Lane.jpg

Also, what about similar gantries not used for tolling, but just used for monitoring traffic flow?

My recommendation is to use a node where this feature is tagged with highway=toll_gantry

Manuel.

Hi consider man_made=bridge with bridge=toll_booth_electronic or preferable toll-electronic.

I was just reading on Wikipedia that the correct term for that "bridge" might be gantry. See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gantry_%28road_sign%29

So probably man_made=gantry with gantry=toll might be better. What do you think?

Hi, since I’m not a native English speaker bridge was good, your able to cross for maintenance but access=no, gantry sounds good go ahead.

I used now man_made=gantry with gantry=toll .

There is this ... Key-toll

Use barrier=toll_booth to map the actual booths where fees are collected.

On second thoughts, Ii guess you are suggesting that the traffic is free flowing with toll-tags therefore 'barrier' is not entirely suitable. Mmmm...

Yes, barrier is not suitable.
