When will new "History tab" go live to main map (osm.org)?

There has been an experimental OWL history tab running for some time now. When will replace the current history tab at www.openstreetmap.org which gets a lot of editing noise that is not really relevant to a particular zoomed area?

6	As I understand OWL needs some more work before going live, but the developer (Paweł) got a new job and has not been very active since. Yet there has been some progress on simplifying the database schema. permanent link answered 25 Sep '13, 22:58 ikonor 1.3k●2●11●19 accept rate: 18%

Some hints can be found at Top_Ten_Tasks ... but there has been no progress for some months.

Maybe this issue can be addressed while meetings like Karlsruhe_Hack_Weekend_October_2013 or some effortd from MapBox companie or similar?
