In a lock, there’s a barrier made of floating beams or logs on either side, http://www.openstreetmap.org/#map=17/52.46559/4.59801 to prevent mooring or damage. Buts not in the WIKI. Tag it as barrier = log, floating = yes ? Or ad seamark:mooring man_made = construction as well ?

I believe there is no currently accepted way to map this feature as of now. I found one reference to a proposal to add "boom" as a man made object (man_made=boom), as described here, and one stub page in the Wiki for "boom" as a sea obstruction here.

Anyway, the first is not used yet, and the second has been used only 6 times ever in the whole map.

If I had to map the feature anyway, since it seems that most booms are temporary (oil spill cleanup, for example), I would use the man_made=boom tag. Sometimes only after a tag value is used by many people that a standard is accepted.

EDIT: Counted 11 occurrences of "man_made=boom" in the whole current database (updated yesterday noon).
