Hi,

there is a problem with the contour lines used here http://www.openstreetmap.org/?note=30872

I placed a note quite a bit of time ago, but nobody ever replied. It is not a local problem, I scrolled vertically a lot, looks like it is constant at that longitude.

Anybody knows who is in charge of this?

Contour lines are not part of OpenStreetMap; they are added by whoever produces the map you are looking at. If you are seeing contour line problems, generally either the map provider has an error in DEM processing, or the DEM data used by the map provider has a bug.

In this case you are probably referring to the Cyclemap tiles which have a little mark at the bottom: "Tiles courtesy Andy Allan". That would be the person to contact. Given that your are looking at an area with a longitude of exactly 8, this is most likely a tiling issue with the source DEM data.

Yes, I was referring to Cyclemap tiles. I contacted Andy. He's aware of the issue and hopes to fix it in a future version.

Thanks for the pointer.
