I created a page in wikipedia about a feature, then i created the boundary in OSM. i used the wikipedia=link_to_osm tag on the boundary. Being a technical person, i want to know what happens in server afterwards like how it searches for wikipedia tags in osm objects(OSM is a huge database but there are query methods, which one does it use?). How is the OSM object linked to the article? (are the co-ordinates written on the source of article or queried from somewhere) and how can i know if there are any troubles?

Maybe you can explain what exact details you are interested in?
