The Chinese maps will greatly improve usability if the current Chinese characters of streets and villages can be translated into European names together with the Chinese characters.( Like Google maps )

The wikimedia toolserver has a series of "maps in particular languages" here (such as this English one). This renders names that are tagged as e.g. "name:en". Is that what you are looking for, or are you looking for something that transliterates Chinese names?
