The best source of country boundaries ("Admin 0") and their first-level internal boundaries ("Admin 1") is Natural Earth data. http://www.naturalearthdata.com/downloads/10m-cultural-vectors/ It's approximately a bazillion times easier to use these, than extracting the same information from OpenStreetMap. answered 04 Aug '13, 17:21  Andy Allan |
