Why do all tags, objects, etc. appear only in english inside the potlatch2 frame ? It would be helpful for many people to have it in their own language, for example, the words "ATM" or "Weir" are not meaningful for everybody. How to help translate all that words and, equally important, how to see the results of that translation work in potlatch2. Thanks for comments. Louis

Potlatch 2 translations are managed by the Translatewiki community. You can sign up and translate the interface at

https://translatewiki.net/wiki/Translating:OpenStreetMap

Unfortunately, this only translates the menus and various buttons, not the contents of the tag presets as you describe. This is because the necessary code hasn't been written and incorporated into Potlatch 2 yet. For more information see for example:

The wiki provides an overview of translations.

The Potlatch2 translations and translations of some OSM software and services are managed via translatewiki. You can help by translating Potlatch2 or Potlatch2 help texts for your language.
