Hi,

I want to use Osmand on my smartpghone for navigation. I've chosen show gps status and got this message: GPS Status application not installed. Search in Market?

What do I need to do before this application can be used?

thanks

Which application are you running on your phone that is giving this message?

You need to contact the people who wrote that application and ask them about your problem.

I'm running OSMand.. I want to make connection to check where I am (gps is on) but than I get this message. I think that osmand was created by someone of this site osm=open street manager and=android.

Despite the name, OsmAnd is not officially part of OpenStreeetMap. OsmAnd does use maps based on OpenStreetMap, but it is a separate project. So it may be more useful to check the guides on the OsmAnd website, or ask on their forum.

Anyway, to answer your question: For the "Show GPS Status" option to work you need to install the GPS Status and Toolbox app. This is a separate app, available to download for free on Google Play. Then when you choose the Show GPS Status option in OsmAnd, it will show this app.
