I went to correct an error and it had been fixed by mentor, I could not find him among users, is it an automatic corrector. and how long does he/her/it wait before starting work?

As far as can be seen from http://www.openstreetmap.org/user/mentor , "mentor" is a normal user just like you.

This is where I went wrong. I searched for "mentor" after clicking on users on this forum page (after testing it with some known user names, which all worked) but as he as not used the forum he did not exist. I then jumped to the conclusion, added to official sounding name that he was a robot fixer. I forgot that wiki, mapping and the forum are sort of separate areas of OSM and I had not searched all contributors.
