When driving from Greoux-les-Bains to Manosque (France) today, I noticed on the map I downloaded into CityMaps2Go that the D82 road was mislabelled as D952. Checking on the site I could confirm this, but only on a zoom level that doesn't allow editing. How is this possible, and above all, how can one correct the error, or signal it so that the map maintainer can make the required corrections? asked 18 Jul '13, 21:37 rjvbertin |
It sometimes takes a while to render the map once the underlying data has changed, and because it is more resource-intensive, lower zooms are updated slower. There are plenty of questions with answers about this here, if you do a search. If you zoom in to edit the data, you'll see that the data is correct (the same data is used for all zooms), meaning that the fix has been done already but hadn't been rendered at low zooms yet. answered 19 Jul '13, 10:52 Vincent de P... ♦ 1
I've now forced an updatee of the corresponding tile, and it renders D82 as expected.

OK, thanks, that's more or less what I hoped. As to not having searched - I'm on holidays and having to do with erratic hotel wifi access (and "better things to do than to go online" according to my other half ;) )
