What should put in the Tag box when uploading traces? All my traces have descriptive names, so what is ideal?

Tagging mode of transport that was interesting to me, e.g. MTB, bike, car, walking Place names are very popular to tag, but you really need to add lots of tags for that to be interesting e.g. the suburb, the city, the county, the state, country. (to be extreme) Tagging it nice because it's easy to search your traces, but as you may have seen it's not use that much. answered 23 Jan '11, 22:45 emj thanks for help I'll use something like place, uk and walk

The tags on traces are simple single-word tags which mean you can tell where and how those traces were gathered. You can put any words you like in as tags, but useful things to use could include the names of any settlements they cover, which route numbers you travelled along, which mode of transport you were using, and so on. You can then filter your own and others' traces by tag at openstreetmap.org answered 25 Jan '11, 16:16 Jonathan Ben... thanks for your answer

At least country or countries in which your trace's points are! I use normal grammar rules there: 1st letter capital, etc answered 06 Jul '12, 17:16 jaakkoh |
