Have a look at the OSM wiki about Openlayers_Track_example

Maybe that example is a bit outdated, because development of OpenLayers has been a lot.

Generally have a look at openlayers.org ... or at leafletjs.org

On both webpages there are examples how to display any kinds of items on a map.
