Hi, I'm using a nüvi 1450 and installed a USA map from http://daveh.dev.openstreetmap.org/garmin/Lambertus/2013-06-02/ (installation the normal way: copied the gmapsupp.img on the memory card in the newly created Garmin file.) My nüvi finds the new map which is called "family name"??? and I can see all the streets in the map if I scroll over there. If I point at a specific place, the nüvi can also calculate the route.

The PROBLEM: Whenever I want to search any address in the USA, my nüvi cant find it. I even can't find the country "USA" or "United States...".

What am I doing wrong? I need this map for holidays in two weeks and it would be great if someone could help me. Thank you in advance

(I am new to all this OSM-stuff, so don't wonder if I have done any big mistakes and sorry for any mistakes, English is not my mother tongue)

Don't know how "daveh" assembles those maps from Lambertus, so maybe better try to download the maps from the original source: http://garmin.openstreetmap.nl/
