Am I allowed to have multiple accounts for editing OpenStreetMap? It's not permitted some other sites (e.g. Wikipedia, though with a few exceptions), and I just want to check whether it's OK here.

Yes, it is allowed.

Obviously we'd ask you not to abuse that freedom (by e.g. making a suggestion with one of your accounts on the Wiki and then enthusiastically supporting it with your other 200 accounts, or by inventing a new tag and using it with your 200 accounts to give the impression that it was widely used by many contributors, or so).

Frederik didnt mentioned that if you want to collect the points you earned, several accounts would not be the best way to go.

No points awarded for contributing, but you can see how you are doing with How did you contribute to OpenStreetMap ?

@Richard: I guess Hendrikklaas means contributions to this site (help.osm.org). However, the question explicitly is about editing OSM.
