I have accept rate 20%, but I have accepted answer in 4 out of 7 queastions. Where is the problem? asked 28 May '13, 12:13 gorn |
It is a bug in OSQA, see here http://jira.osqa.net/browse/OSQA-779 .... sorry for not catching it before asking. Please upgrade, whent it is fixed. EDIT: The OSQA issue has moved to https://github.com/dzone/osqa/issues/358 answered 28 May '13, 12:16 gorn SomeoneElse ♦ It's not a bug, the OSQA's accept rate has just a different meaning than the one from StackExchange.

@scai - It is filed in their bugsystem and fixed, so I think they recogniyed it as a bug. However POW can differ, I agree.

BTW SO stopped to display the accept rate at all because they recognizide, that its disadvantages outweight its benefits. http://meta.stackexchange.com/questions/136951/lets-stop-displaying-a-users-accept-rate/164654#164654

I think it works like this. Say you have answered 10 questions and 2 have been accepted that so 2/10 equals 20%. which is an excellent measure of your ability to answer a question. You can test this by clicking users and picking one, scroll down to their answers and how many were accepted. answered 18 May '14, 08:19 andy mackey No, this isn't excellent at all. A question can have multiple good answers but only one answer can be accepted.

Gorns 20% rate and your 24% ARE excellent but I agree to a point that accept% is a little flawed but together with Karma its Ok and not worth whinging about.
