I am in the process of building a desktop application for a client.

It will use open street map with JMapViewer for the Display Engine. The client is generally on board with pursuing the open source route, but wants peace of mind that it will continue to get support in the future.

At this time, I'm not looking for programming/development/product selection advice. I need examples of agencies or companies who are using JMapViewer as a Display Engine and what the application is.

Thanks in advance!

Any commercial companies making use of OSM data should be collected in the OSM wiki about Commercial_OSM_Software_and_Services.

But as far as I have investigated, there is no of them using JMapViewer explicitly.

Maybe the guys and girls from geofabrik.de are the nearest to it ... try to ask in detail to them.

So the main app that is using JMapviewer seems to be JOSM which is actively developed by very skilled OSM proigrammers for years now.
