I had an account for a while, then started another account because of login problems. I'd like to gather the edits, etc. under one account but the email used in the original is now invalid. What I'd like to do is to integrate the two accounts. Is this possible?

No, it's not possible to merge two user accounts at present. If someone develops a user merge function this may become technically possible, but the OSM community would still need to decide whether this was something they needed before it could be made available on osm.org.
