Can anyone tell me why the word 'Fareham' appears in rendered map here (http://www.openstreetmap.org/?lat=50.785683&lon=-1.163904&zoom=18&layers=M)? There seems to be no node at that location, which is several miles from either Fareham town or the Fareham borough boundary. I would correct it if I knew what to correct. Any help would be appreciated. |

A quick search on the wiki gave this page : http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Tag:public_transport%3Dpay_scale_area Problems should be reported to "the mailing list". But I have no idea which list is meant. Maybe it can be discussed on that mailing to change the name to something that includes "pay scale area" ? There are loads of these Naptan pay-scale areas in OSM. The rendering is a bit silly, in that the name is rendered along the boundary, but the boundary itself is not rendered. They're UK-specific, so perhaps Talk-GB http://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/talk-gb) would be the best mailing list to raise the issue on. Or possibly Talk-transit (http://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/talk-transit).

See https://trac.openstreetmap.org/ticket/2322 which has been marked as a duplicate of https://trac.openstreetmap.org/ticket/2177 which is related to https://trac.openstreetmap.org/ticket/1514 - there are a number of Mapnik stylesheet issues which will hopefully be addressed after the hopefully imminent switch to the carto based style - see "Tackle the backlog" mention at https://github.com/gravitystorm/openstreetmap-carto

Clearly it's a rendering issue and is already known, so there is nothing to correct in the database. Thanks to all who helped.
