Hi. I inserted some coffe bars and building names in Sarajevo, B&H but I cant see changes on view. What is the problem and how to fix it? And Im new here so maybe Im not familiar with rules. |

You just have to wait a bit more (and to clear your browser cache) before you see your changes. Also note that not everything is shown on out standard ("mapnik") map (on osm.org). Thanks guys! I cleared my internet cache. How come when I zoom in, buildings and coffe bars that I inserted are not visible. I mean they are visible when I zoom one scale to maximum but when I zoom at maximum they are not visible?

It's because tiles at different zoom levels get rendered at different times and with different strategies, as explained in the question @aseerel4c26 linked.

@WalterStadt: you just need to wait. As long as your edit is saved in the data(!) it is fine. You can check your edits for that purpose if you are not sure. There is just one possible problem: if you mistyped some tag it will never appear anywhere in the map (even if the object type is usually shown in this specific map). However, if your edit is rendered at least on some zoom level then everything is fine obviously. Just wait for the other levels and clear your browser's cache before trying to look again.

Hi walterstadt, please read the messages at this side, why is (my) name not visible on the map. Please add the question in the blank window below questions. It could be the zoom level, the names are asking or the program you’re using, hope you’ll find the answer in the list of questions and answers. Hi WalterStadt, try to add a link like this, http://www.openstreetmap.org/?lat=43.8465&lon=18.3744&zoom=13&layers=M with your next question. If you’re working in P 2, you’ll be able to find and copy the permanent link at the right bottom side of the start screen. It gives us a pic of the problem you’re trying to solve. And don’t hesitate to ask for help, but try to read the Osm Wiki as well or just add the question in the blank window below questions. Greetz
To clarify @Hendrikklaas's advice: the described permanent link procedure needs to be done outside of Potlatch 2, in the main map view.
