[closed] Exporting map in png from local computer

0

Hello everybody! I just discovered OpenStreetMap, and now my day turns better!

I'm trying to export map in .png from the site, but for several hours give me error: "The load average on the server is too high at the moment. Please wait a few minutes before trying again." I tought to do it from my own, by local computer. I downloaded the "italy.osm.bz2" file from htp://download.gfoss.it/osm/osm/ but I didn't found a light and simple software that admit me to export map like the site do (that is, by inserting the two pairs of coordinates). Could you give me some tricks? Thank you very much, have a good day!

The question has been closed for the following reason “Hi Marco, welcome! :-) That is a very common topic which has been answered many times already. See for example: https://help.openstreetmap.org/questions/21192/error-export-load-average-on-the-server-is-too-high-at-the-moment or directly: https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/OSM_on_Paper" by aseerel4c26 09 Apr ‘13, 16:50
