What do i need to do to create a map containing all the streets and features ( i don't necessarily need all the POIs) at the highest zoom level (17?) for all of Ecuador? I would like to create this map in a format/appropriate max resolution for download to my brand spankin new Garmin GPSMAP 62s. Thank you in advance for your response(s). |

As far as I can tell the Garmin GPSMAP 62 does not use prerendered tiles (which would be problematic to download for all of Ecuador) but uses map files in the Garmin .img format. Have a look at wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/OSM_Map_On_Garmin for documentation of how to get such a file based on Openstreetmap data. |
