Rush hour on OSM servers

2

Is there a timetable or list of the busiest hours on the OSM servers ? If it’s known as a rush hour you could decide to wait an hour or so to start your request for a download. And yes I know the server is keeping track of all the requests, but still. There’s an advantage for the server and myself, I don’t have to wait and the server doesn’t have to do any overtime. So if it aint shouldnt it be so ? Greetz

See the server load graphs for the tile servers at http://munin.openstreetmap.org/openstreetmap/yevaud.openstreetmap/cpu.html .

Probably the load average graph is more readable: http://munin.openstreetmap.org/openstreetmap/yevaud.openstreetmap/load.html .

Maybe theres more info linked from https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Platform_Status .

Is the functionality Hendrik asks about hosted on server "spike"?

I guess UTC, because the webpage says at the bottom line "this page was generated at ... UTC". Probably someone who is more knowledgeable about the server infrastructure should confirm this.

Thanks, just asking about the server and yes I found it, the second option was readable.

Nick, gormo is pointing out that you may have voted up the answer but to accept the best one there should be tick to click below the thumbs up/down symbols, I would illustrate it but don't have an unticked Question available and although I tried to create an help with help question it got closed too quickly. It took me months to find the tick as well!
