I'm new. I've clicked to edit and got an error message saying I needed Flash. I HAVE Flash (10.1) but I also have a PowerPC. This is an issue on many systems, but what is the problem here? Another thing is that I run Click2Flash. I don't think that is the problem, though. I would quite like to edit without the need of Flash; how can I do that? I run OSX 10.5.8. I have TenFourFox 17.0.4 and also Safari 5.0.6, though I prefer the Fox. asked 29 Mar '13, 19:09 NSBarnett |
I've used Potlatch recently with Mac OSX 10.7 with Click2Flash. It worked for me, but I'm running a later Mac with a later version of the OS. Do you have the latest version of Flash? (I am not sure that Adobe even has the latest version available for OS 10.5) I've found that JOSM works well enough to be vastly better than Potlatch on my Mac (a little funky using the touch pad on the MacBookPro, but usable). JSOM needs Java installed and the latest version of Java is not available for 10.5 but I suspect that the last version of Java that Apple supported on 10.5 will probably be okay. answered 29 Mar '13, 21:36 n76 |
Unfortunately Potlatch 2 doesn't work on PowerPC Macs; the last version of Flash available for PowerPC doesn't support the Spark user interface components used by Potlatch 2. As stephan75 says, take a look at iD, which is written in JavaScript. answered 30 Mar '13, 11:52 Richard ♦ |
