Hi all, I'd love to contribute to OSM. I own a Windows Mobile device with a GPS chip. What tracking software should I use?

I personally use gpsVP which can record tracks and display osm maps in Garmin format from a storage card. Not totally perfect but quite usable. Works good on my phone without a touchscreen. Biggest drawback for my device is a quite strong demand on battery power...

See on the OSM wiki:

Have a look at the OSM wiki about Windows Mobile ... there you can find many programs for your device that can record a GPS tracklog in order to load it into an editor on a PC or to upload it on the OSM server.

There are even nice apps that can display the recent OSM data by a rendered map and you can see whether the way you are moving at the moment is already in the OSM data or not.

I would recommend NaviPOWM, next to Gosmore, Navit, OSMTracker, gpsVP and others

You can use OSMTracker which works very well at capturing data ready for import to OSM.
