Hi, your question is capable of being interpreted in a couple of different ways, so it would greatly help if you could explain in a bit more detail what you would like to do.

If it helps, trying adding information in your native language.

Hi, since the OSM is largely incomplete and I need to use a map at a reduced cost, I'd like to implement a system that allows users to add roads of interest in your area of interest is through the use of satellite imagery, directly from my site. Thanks for the reply.

It would be far easier for everybody if you directed your users to edit OSM at the main website or using JOSM with the main OSM servers. The energy you would lose by implementing all that yourself could be used much better by just mapping at the existing OSM site. Also, you save yourself a lot of trouble (legal as well as technical).

So, short answer: direct your users to map at openstreetmap.org .

Is a great idea but I would like to prevent users enroll twice as to entries in our database will need to register on the site. There is the possibility of registering users to OSM with the account you created for our database?

You would like your users not to have to create two accounts: one at your site and one at openstreetmap.org?

exactly!!!

If you set up an OpenID identity provider you can have your users log into Openstreetmap https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/OpenID

The other way around is also possible to implement. Have users log into your site with Openstreetmap credentials.

@Francesco, you mention" use of satellite imagery" - please be sure to not encourage your users to create copyright violations. If you set up editing at your site (and do not direct the users to edit here), please do only use public domain imagery to trace from. Google maps / satellite is NOT public domain.

In addition, edits which create OSM data are allowed to use the aerial imagery (not the map!) from bing. That is a special agreement and only valid for OSM.

I am aware of these limitations and for this I follow the advice of @ Schnitzelinm and redirect users to OSM for changes. Thanks anyway for the information.

Use Leaflet if you want a map on your website. You can configure it to show a wide range of (satellite) layers. Editing functionality is a littlebit more complex. With Potlatch being Open Source it should be possible to do it but it would require a lot of work.

Maybe you can add a littlebit more information about what you are trying to do.
