Hi I was just wondering if I can use a part of your map commercially for a property brochure/website etc? Apologies if this has been asked before. Many thanks in advance Jack |

You can check the Wiki for more information They also have a FAQ. Also the proper way to give atribution to OpenStreetMap under the new License is: Contains information from OpenStreetMap, which is made available here under the Open Database Licence (ODbL) Also check the license of the tiles used. Both the By-Sa and ODBL(the license now) both allow for commercial use. If you are using the By-Sa you must release your brochure under the By-Sa license and put copyright OpenStreetMap contributers under the map. With the ODBL you would still need to put the copyright notice but unless you changed the data or have an dervived database you are of no obligation to change the license for products derived from OSM data. IE just give OSM credit and you can put the map on your brochure. I am no lawyer or license expert that is just my impression of the licenses. |
