Buildings on a non tagged farmyard, are getting darker after adding landuse - farmyard over the area. Is it possible to avoid the darkening by adding a multipolygone scheme ?

You don't mention which website you are using to view the map or, if the main osm.org site for example, which layer. The answer to your question will depend on which rendering view you are looking at. I personally wouldn't worry about it as long as you have tagged everything correctly, but if you are concerned perhaps contact whoever maintains the view you're looking at (trac.osm.org for the standard layer at osm.org for example).

Hi Guys, just good old P2 and JOSM. The region was general tagged with grass and not a single ditch or waterway. The farms were present but no tag for farmyard. I added farmyard, but the buildings are getting darker. Thats why I asked the question. If I get the answers right, just leave it as it is now.

Reviewing this leads to a reveling answer. I came to the conclusion that multipolygones are the solution to separate the buildings from the surrounding grounds, any objections ? Greetz

Sorry, no : turning an area (farmyard, residential, or similar) into a multipolygon just to punch "building holes" into it is not considered good OSM practice. The first reason is that those buildings actually are part of the farmyard/residential/etc. The second reason is that using multipolygons for this would mean to use them everywhere, and that is so cumbersome that mappers prefer other solutions.

Concerning your original problem, it is a rendering issue not a maping issue. Problems with the main osm.org rendering can be reported at https://trac.openstreetmap.org/newticket?component=mapnik

Note however that development and fixes of this rendering style are currently on hiatus, pending a rewrite of the stylesheet in a different format.
