I'm editor of a small non-profit-publishing house, spezialized in train literature. We would like to use some OSM plans in our books. A good idea could be to use the layers=T option. But I haven'nt found a way to download OSM maps with layers=T in an editable mode. We need it editable to remove bus lines, as we only want to show rail and tram lines. Any suggestions? What you are describing is a custom render, that is a map custom created for your needs. You can do ths for yourself. You can download the data for an area and render that area, or part of it, the way you want it, including railways but ignoring buses. A custom render could use Maperitive or Tilemill to make the map. More info on switch2osm, http://switch2osm.org answered 21 Dec '12, 12:37 ChrisH SomeoneElse ♦ |
