Hi all,

I've downloaded OSM as xml data for roads in Brazil. I lost all the OSM styling when I did this, but I want to re-apply the styling (I need to use the data off-line). I have installed Mapnik but its pretty complicated for a beginner and I have no idea how to replicate the OSM style.

Has anyone written the Python script for Mapnik that will re-apply the OSM styling to the xml data?

Thanks.

If you want to try another renderer that might be a bit beginner friendly:

Have a look at Maperitive

If I remember correctly, it has a style that is quite near to the original Mapnik style.
