I was wondering what people recommend for tagging student centers and dormitories? I would like to use the ´ community center´ for the student centers but that is under public amenities. I do not think that would always be applicable. Also, dormitories are not applicable under accommodation tags, so would it be sufficient to tag them as ´building=residential´ and maybe ´type=dormitory´?

Building=dormitory is already accepted. A student center will probably have some amenity tags to it, so building=civic would?

http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Key:building lists the specific tags most recommended for building=.
