Hello, I would like to download map of Poland for Garmin (nuvi). How can I do it ? Regards, Emil asked 09 Oct '12, 20:49 Ziomo |
See OSM_Map_On_Garmin/Download#Single_European_Countries to download maps and another generic page OSM_Map_On_Garmin. Since I don't own a Garmin, I never tried so I can't help more than this. answered 09 Oct '12, 21:42 rtafav2 |
If you type "garmin" into the search box you'll get this list - lots of people have asked similar questions. If you want a simple easy-to-download-and-install option I'd suggest here. answered 09 Oct '12, 22:01 SomeoneElse ♦ |
When I try to upload map of Poland from here: http://garmin.osmapa.pl/ to my Garmin I have this error:
The error means: It is impossible to copy gmapsupp: the operation was completed.
Any idea why I have this problem ?
Regards,
How big is the file that you are copying and how much free space is there in the place that you're copying it to?
By the files I'm guessing that your drive E (in the picture above) is on the device itself, not on an SD card?
If your Garmin supports SD cards, I'd get one (they're really cheap now) and copy to there instead.
The file is 141 MB. I don´t know to check memory of Garmin. Files on that memory have 1,73 MB.
Is it better solution to use SD card ?
It's always better to use an SD card because you can fit more maps on it.
Do you know how can I check available memory of my Garmin device ?
I need only one map (the size is 141 MB) so Garmin memory is enough for me and I think in this way is working faster, but maybe I am wrong.
