I have rather general question whether to tag a building or a node if both exist, but I will explain my question in the acutal example of a fire station (http://www.openstreetmap.org/?lat=52.54402&lon=13.247669&zoom=18&layers=M)

For the fire station exists the node and the building. Both have the tag amenity:fire_station. The building however has additional information.

My question now: What is the best practice to deal with this.

(A) Copy the information from the building to the tag. (If they apply to both of them.)

(B) Delete the node, because all information already exist with the building.

(C) Leave it like it is.

Thanks!

B is the best practice described here ("One feature, one OSM element").

not to forget: If the node has more info than the building, copy the additional info to the building before deleting the node (generally, not in this case, as here the building has more information)
