Hi, I m a cartograph and like to make the OSM map as much accurate as possible it takes some study and time but okay. I therefor do have a questions. Is OSM just a map where every one can or will contribute too ? Just to make a perfect, actual and correct map ? It makes fun to know that a program uses your contribution, but Im wondering since I saw lately a lot of questions on the OSM help pages about routing and OSM cartography. I personally would say that your allowed to use the data but still from a perfect map and not from a less detailed result. And there a lot of it on OSM.

OpenStreetMap is about collecting the geodata, and providing a map that is rendered from the geodata, and much more.

See http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/About for more details.
