Is Mapforge is Rasterbase or Vectorbase

I am searching for offline map for android so i have try Mapforge map sdk and its working fine for me but here i raise the question that is Mapforge is Raster base map or Vector base map? i did many try to find that Mapforge is Raster base or vactor base but cant able to find answer the question.

let me know if there are more library which is vector base so its great help... Thanks Nik

According to the wiki

mapsforge provides a free, open-source, offline vector map library (and more) for Android.
