"Cannot Calculate route" error on Garmin 1300 gps unit

When I try to use the map for navigation, it gives me error as "Cannot calulate route"! I have downloaded maps for India. I have copied the file to "Garmin" folder in the sd card. It shows the map, when I select "View Map", it shows the map and location, but "where to" navigation option gives me this error. It doesn't even calculate anything!

Where did you download the maps from? There are lots of different OSM-based Garmin maps available.
