Dann gehts. Weshalb nicht in einer Suche?

Strange - maybe it's because (as you can see by clicking "details" after just entering the street) the first "Gluckensteinweg" is in suburb "Dornholzhausen", which is itself within "Bad Homburg vor der Höhe"? (I'd have a look on trac but that seems to be inaccessible to me just at this moment).

Bad Homburg appears to be known as Bad Homburg vor der Höhe in OpenStreetMap.

Weshalb findet er dann : bad homburg basler Straße

(21 Sep '12, 18:28) KlausB

Not sure. I notice there's a node http://www.openstreetmap.org/browse/node/240128258 tagged with

  • name = Bad Homburg vor der Höhe
  • alt_name = Bad Homburg

Maybe some streets are close enough to that node to be associated with it while others are not? Maybe adding 'alt_name = Bad Homburg' to the boundary relation http://www.openstreetmap.org/browse/relation/338875 as well would solve the problem?

Bei Bad Homburg mag das so sein. ist zu prüfen. Hier aber Beispiele aus Berlin und Hamburg, di auch nicht gehen. Berlin magistratsweg / Berlin springerzeile / hamburg lämmersieth / hamburg osterbekweg / Hamburg flachsland

(21 Sep '12, 18:55) KlausB

All those examples work for me as long as I type the street-name first.

Für Berlin und Hamburg ist es ok. Aber Bad Homburg läuft damit trotzdem nicht in einer Suche.

(21 Sep '12, 19:23) KlausB

alt_name added. Will probably take a day or two to affect searches on openstreetmap.org (if it has any effect at all).

"Kirdorfer Straße, Bad Homburg" now works!

Did you try "streetname" , "city name" ?

I just typed "Gluckensteinweg, Bad Homburg" on openstreetmap.org and it finds the street.

"Bad Homburg Gluckensteinweg" is not found.

This is explained on http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Search

Wie schon escada schrieb, Du musst "Gluckensteinweg, Bad Homburg", "Kirdorfer Straße, Bad Homburg" usw. suchen! Hier wird's erklärt.
