What do you mean by "the app" ? Do you speak about the web online editor on openstreetmap.org called "Potlatch 2" ? or about a smartphone app ?
I meant editing an address on the iPad app, I'll try to do it on my iMac.

Thanks everyone, I discovered how to edit the address on my Mac but still can't see how to do it on the iPad.
I've edited the question to reflect that the questioner's asking about an iPad (presumably any site / app that works there would do).
