Hello,

  1. How can I calculate a ROUTE (from A to B)? I cannot find this function.
  2. Why isn't the map interactive? I mean, even if the URL (of a hotel) is defined (website: http:/....) I cannot open it in the map.

Regards, Erhard

The first question is a duplicate of where-can-i-do-a-direction-search-routing-from-x-to-y-location and the second of Why are not POIs clickable? (this is a newer question, maybe there are older ones, though).

By the way: please avoid to ask more than one question in one "question" entry on this site.

For a route, go to http://www.project-osrm.org/. For clickable links, go to http://www.openlinkmap.org/.

  1. A number of websites provide routing services based on OSM data. There are also tools and libraries if what you're interested in is to do the routing yourself. See the Routers wiki page.
  2. Some OSM-using maps do; usually they focus on a specific set of POIs, as displaying everything would cause performance and readbility problems. The demo maps at http://osm.org only show an image, unless you click edit -> browse map data on the top left-hand side.
