I am editing right now this region (my trace):

http://www.openstreetmap.org/?lat=53.16436&lon=18.69398&zoom=15&layers=M

and I noticed (switch to editor please) a hundreds of points -- type: unknown.

Was it some kind of vandalism and I should now delete those points since I see them (reason: such points serve no purpose (?) and just make map bigger), or should I leave them?

Some of those nodes has been edited by http://www.openstreetmap.org/user/Redaction%20Account%20Bugfix and perhaps Frederik Ramm or someone else can give an explanation of why those kind of nodes has occurred and how to handle them.

The history of the nodes (e.g. http://www.openstreetmap.org/browse/node/587574579/history) shows that these nodes are redacted during the license change. Feel free to support the remapping effort.

You should explain that "redacted" means that the nodes have been part of a way removed by the licence change process. The way was created by a person who did not accept the new CT/ODbl but the nodes have been created by one user who did accepted.
