When I edit the map in OpenStreetMap in the area of Huesca, Spain, the bottom Bing not working. I leave a link on the exact spot where the problem begins: http://www.openstreetmap.org/edit?lat=42.05033&lon=-0.00051&zoom=15. Thank You! asked 09 Sep '12, 10:06 macele2841 |
Yes you've found the edge of an area of high resolution Bing imagery. Unfortunately it's not available from bing to the east of that line. You can find out more about bing coverage here. In general most of Spain is now covered but there's some patches, tending to be arranged in odd vertical strips, which are not. There's a tool which (in theory) should give mappers a good zoomed out view of where's available. Unfortunately it doesn't give a very helpful view at the moment in the spot you're looking at The new Bing coverage in Spain should mean new green areas are added, but this tool has a problem that these areas remain red until somebody zooms in pans around to turn them green. You could, for the benefit of other mappers in the area, zoom in on there and fill in some more green patches, but until someone does that, the view is misleading/wrong (Anyone have a good solution to this?) answered 09 Sep '12, 13:15 Harry Wood |
