Still learning how to use all those GPS tools and apps.

I tried today to somehow make a point for later editing OSM maps (the surface of the road changed, and I wanted to fix that in OSM). So I added a favourite point at that place in OsmAnd.

Now of course I could look at map (with given point) on the phone and at OSM editor (computer) and decide "here, it is more or less here" and make the appropriate change.

QUESTION is there more reliable way to make that point an accurate one in OSM editor, so I wouldn't have to rely on visual similarities?

In OsmAnd you can enable the logging module and export the logged track as gpx file. You can then use the gpx in your OSM editor or upload it to openstreetmap.

For logging POIs (points of interest) OsmAnd has another module which you can enable.

I would recommend another tool for logging: OSM Tracker. It's easier to add the tags and it also allows to take photos and align the with the track.

Oh my goodness, OSM Tracker is so great, just tested it, and it has (almost) everything I need (almost -- offline maps). It is a must-have for every OSM-editor. Thank you so much for this recommendation.
