It looks like buoys per se have been a proposed feature since 2008 - http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Proposed_features/Buoy. However, Potlatch2 has a UI item for Man Made -> Navigation Marks, and if you change the Object Type to "buoy" and go in the Advanced view, you'll see that it added So what is the status of this rather basic feature? It seems most sea features are tagged in the seamark tagspace. See the wiki for possible values and details on use: |

There is a wiki page about marine navigation listing lots of different seamark:type= tags. Taginfo knows some more values if the one you are searching is missing. If you want to see those objects rendered on a map you can visit OpenSeaMap or FreieTonne. |

Dear Dandv, Look at the different harbors and youll find the right tag. I personnally vieuwed a green dot with text added. Ill find it at 5.35539 - 52.27919 in the Eemlake in Holland.
