Since I'm going to Brunei for 4-5 days [reason: a conference that has nothing to do with maps and related services], is it okay for me to use my GPS device in that country (for tracing roads, collecting POI's)?

First hits at internet search engines say that some time ago only three countries banned the use of GPS devices: Egypt, Syria nad North Korea.

In the meantime Egypt is said to have allowed the use.

In case of doubt, ask at your local embassy of the country you want to go by email.

PS: there is NO WARRANTY of this information! So if you get trouble, don't blame me :-)
