How do i get an updated map for my Osmand app?

Mine(downloaded from the app for offline use) is way outdated...

I don´t know if i have to pay, but i would. I just want to make my new app work...

I have Blackberry Playbook and instaled OsmaNd directly from the APP World.

Help, please...

  1. Download Osmand's latest Mapcreator from http://osmand.net
  2. Download raw OSM data for the region you need via http://download.geoofabrik.de
  3. Create your own *.obf vector data map file and copy it to your device
  4. Be aware that in certain countries thete have been massive data loss due to the Redaction Bot. Test this for your region first. geofabrik.de is also offering "old" map data before the bot run.

I can´t find a way to dld the map creator...

go to http://osmand.net

at the right side there is a so called QR-code field that looks like a square with many littlie black and white dots, like a giant chess board.

below that there is a link called OsmandMapCreator that leads to the most recent zip archive.

expand that zip on your desktop PC and run it wit Java installed there.
