How do I change a city name? "Damstensvej" in Denmark is located in the city of "Stenløse" and not "Gundsømagle".

Could any of you please update the city name? I fear that I will mess it up as I have never tried it before. I have updated info in regard to the street and the golf club addressed on that street.

How do you add a golf club as POI by the way? I’m unable to find “Golf”

Thanks,

I do not know where your city limits are and do not have non copyrighted map of it, which is why it needs someone with local knowledge to draw the outline of the cities to form the polygons.

google is your friend

https://maps.google.com/maps?q=Stenl%C3%B8se,+Danmark&hl=da&ie=UTF8&ll=55.775801,12.228813&spn=0.082355,0.220242&sll=37.0625,-95.677068&sspn=58.467737,112.763672&oq=stenl&hnear=Stenl%C3%B8se,+Danmark&t=m&z=13

the video do not tell how to add the city to the road :( the road is linked with the main road so that is not the problem.

I'm sure that you're not suggesting this, but for the avoidance of doubt and for the benefit of anyone new to the project you should not use copyrighted maps in any way while editing OpenStreetMap (unless it is compatible with our license).

Google will not be our friend if we use their copyrighted stuff refer wiki and copyrights please. The video shows how to draw a polygon which needs to be added around the city to fix your addressing problem and not to the road tag.

You can use http://nominatim.osm.org/ to get a detailed view of why Nominatim is returning the results that it is. Once you have done the search hit the details link and it'll give more info on the result. Take careful note of whether it is using nodes or polygons. Sometimes if a place has both a node and a polygon it can cause issues such as this. Greyed out lines in the search result page show that Nominatim is ignoring that detail.

Addresses get linked to close cities or towns sometimes not the correct one. If the town or city as a polygon it should work OK but if the town or city just as a name node it may not. So if you know the area that city or town covers it needs a polygon mapping. Do a search of these questions for "town polygons" you will find out more.

It needs someone with local knowledge, possibly you to draw polygons of the cities so that "Damstensvej" belongs to the correct one. It seems that you have found a suitable golf tag. Polygons are also good for Golf courses and there is a tag under sport ad leisure in Potlach2 for that.

We all lack a bit of confidence when editing something more advanced. Try practising in a blank bit of map just do not save. Then try for real, if you think your new attempt is not good just don't save it. Exit then try again
