Hello all, I must be missing something here, but how do I mark a node as a natural feature such as a spring, summit, cave, pass, etc... All the markings I see are for human features (buildings, natural parks, etc).

Assuming you are using Potlatch2 then after you have drawn that node/way you can see advanced button on the bottom left corner. After clicking it you can manually enter key=value pairs. List of most often used tags can be found on map features page. If you can't find a suitable tag from that list, then do a search on the wiki.
