When using the Nominatim search box I seem to get better results if I use capital first letters for place names. Is this true?

An example or two would help here, I think...

I have tried to replicate it but can't. Maybe I was attributing the no show to lack of capitals and it was some other problem.

The search box is case-insensitive. If you find an example where case matters, you have found a bug in Nominatim. Russian script is already known to have problems. If you find examples in other scripts, you can help by creating a bug report for them in trac.
