Why is there a line all the way along Bethune Street in Peterborough Ontario all the way to Parkhill Road when there is a full, complete road along the whole dotted line section of Bethune Street and there is no trail along this section from Dublin Street to Parkhill Road?

Hi karate,

Welcome to OSM. The answer to your query is that the way is tagged as "highway=path" rather that "highway=residential", as the northern section of Bethune Street is.

As you've not started contributing to the mapping as yet I have changed the tagging to "highway=residential", hopefully in a short while the rendering will be correct.

When editing, if you are puzzled by some ones work, it is not difficult to contact the mapper. Its only occasionally necessary but can be useful. In the potlach2 editor ..click on the way or node in question .. advanced tab.. click on way number.. click on contact mapper.
